I didn\u2019t want to write right away after Nice.\u00a0 What to say?\u00a0 I thought it was critical to keep quiet<\/a>.\u00a0 To cry and commune without spreading greater sorrow.<\/p>\n I remember something my dad told me when I announced to him that my ex-husband and I were splitting:\u00a0 he said you are both smart people and I count on you both to manage it intelligently but don\u2019t forget that when feelings are involved, strong deep feelings, it overshadows intelligence.\u00a0 This sentence stayed with me so many times.\u00a0 So this time I did not watch television, no images, I protected myself.\u00a0 It helped me not to build up my fear.\u00a0 What\u2019s the point? \u00a0It only plays into their game.<\/p>\n I arrived at some sort of certainty that there was nothing I could do in the near future.\u00a0 Because it will happen again, because you can die at a terrace, at a concert, at the university, in a nightclub, on a promenade, here or elsewhere\u2026 so, so we might as well LIVE!\u00a0 And then I remembered those factual things<\/a> and all the testimonies absolutely stunning in their humanity<\/a>.And righteously, I told myself, humanity is immense and nothing should deter us from it, neither fear, neither the disgust inspired by those who in this case lost all their humanity.<\/p>\n Hundreds of people die in Istanbul, Brussels, Nice or Orlando\u2026 and we are millions around the world to mourn and cry for them<\/a>\u2026 it\u2019s really great, very grand.\u00a0 And this should never change.\u00a0 They can\u2019t do anything against that.\u00a0 Let\u2019s continue to cherish humanity<\/a>.\u00a0 To \u201cspread\u201d Love<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The world is changed by your example, not by your opinion.<\/p>\n – Paul Coelho<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Festival of flowers – Henri Matisse – Nice – 1923 I didn\u2019t want to write right away after Nice.\u00a0 What to say?\u00a0 I thought it was critical to keep quiet.\u00a0 To cry and commune without spreading greater sorrow.
