Farid et moi avons fait la m\u00eame \u00e9cole, il y a… 20 ans! et puis l’autre jour, je le croise dans une soir\u00e9e, aux\u00a080 ans de Lanc\u00f4me<\/a> pour \u00eatre pr\u00e9cise.<\/p>\n

“Salut Farid, tu te souviens de moi?… qu’est ce que tu fous l\u00e0?”<\/p>\n

et l\u00e0 il me sort cette phrase g\u00e9niale\u00a0: “beh je suis le beau p\u00e8re d’une des \u00e9g\u00e9ries!”<\/p>\n

“- tu veux dire que ta belle fille c’est… Julia Robert ?!!! nan attends, Kate Winslet peut \u00eatre?!!!<\/p>\n

– non, C’est Alma Jodorowsky<\/p>\n

– ?!??!!!!!!??? (lire WTF)<\/p>\n

– beh ouais!<\/p>\n

– hahahah \u00a0hahaha hahaha (genre rire nerveux)(nan mais WTF?!!!) \u00a0et sinon tu fais quoi dans la vie?!<\/p>\n

C’est pas magique \u00e7a? Me voici donc 6 mois plus tard dans son salon, \u00e0 discuter de son film. \u00e7a m’a rappel\u00e9 nos conversations d’il y a 20 ans quand il me racontait comment il avait pass\u00e9 le bac sport en faisant une ascension d’un 6000m au N\u00e9pal!!! Farid ayant grandi \u00e0 Chamonix avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 cette relation \u00e0 la montagne. \u00e0 la terre.<\/p>\n

Good Luck Algeria, est \u00e9videmment au coeur de mille d\u00e9bats malheureusement en jeu aujourd’hui. mais c’est aussi une com\u00e9die extr\u00eamement riche en \u00e9motions, extr\u00eamement fine dans ses messages.<\/p>\n

Farid me disait qu’apr\u00e8s l’\u00e9cole (de commerce donc) il avait rencontr\u00e9 une dramaturge. Une femme de 70 ans. Apr\u00e8s une conversation ensemble il s’\u00e9tait enferm\u00e9 chez lui pendant 2 jours. “C’est comme si j’avais v\u00e9cu dans une maison en cherchant la porte pour sortir et qu’elle m’avait ouvert plein de fen\u00eatres partout.” il me semble que Farid ouvre aujourd’hui, a son tour pas mal de fen\u00eatres.<\/p>\n

Et \u00e7a m’\u00e9meut que l’on puisse se trouver chang\u00e9 apr\u00e8s une conversation, apr\u00e8s avoir visionn\u00e9 un film, apr\u00e8s avoir ressenti… et que cela se fasse non pas aupr\u00e8s de gens “comme nous” mais avec un “autre”, des autres, des voyages, qu’ils soient physiques ou mentaux.<\/p>\n

Comme il dit, c’est complexe et en m\u00eame temps, \u00e0 vivre, c’est tellement, mais tellement simple!<\/p>\n

Farid and I have been at the same business school about… 20 years ago! Then one day I ran into him at a party, the one for the 80 years of Lanc\u00f4me<\/a> to be precise.<\/p>\n

– “Hi Farid! Do you remember me? … What are you doing here?”<\/p>\n

and there he just replied : “Well, I am the stepfather of a Lanc\u00f4me ambassadress.”<\/p>\n

– \u201cHahahah hahaha hahaha (as in a nervous giggle) (seriously WTF? !!!) And what have you been up to lately ?!\u201d<\/p>\n

– \u201cI am releasing a movie based on my brother\u2019s story: he\u2019s made the Olympics in cross-country skiing!\u201d<\/p>\n

– \u201c… Hahaha hahaha hahaha “(You know what I mean)<\/p>\n

Ain\u2019t this magic? Here I am, six months later in his living room to talk about his movie. It reminded me of our conversations when we were twenty something and he told me how he passed his sports baccalaureat exam by climbing a 6000m peak in Nepal !!! Farid, growing up in Chamonix, has this special relationship to the mountains. To the earth.<\/p>\n

Good Luck Algeria is, obviously, at the center of thousands of very unfortunate debates today. But it is also an excellent comedy, rich in emotions and very witty messages.<\/p>\n

It moves me how one can be changed after a conversation, after watching a movie, after feeling … and that this can only be done with people who aren\u2019t “like us” but with an “other”, the others, traveling, be it physically or mentally.<\/p>\n

Just as he said, it is complicated when conceptualized and so easy to live from the inside!<\/p>\n
