So honored and happy to be part of Lea Bordier’s project. “Dear Body” is as exciting as it is useful. it is Lam who made me discover his chain and neither one nor two I contactee lea. This was followed by a long discussion which allowed me to take stock of all the evolution experienced in my relationship with the body. because obviously it’s so much more.

Dès que je suis entrée dans la galerie, l’expo m’a comme projetée sur notre colline népalaise. Que de choses vécues là-bas et depuis. pour l’un comme pour l’autre.
ces losanges, étirés et suspendus, entre ciel et terre, m’ont fait penser à des blasons totémiques, des portes, des cartes de tarot, la pupille de l’oeil du serpent… c’est la première fois que je découvre Truc-Anh dans un art plus symbolique. à la frontière entre l’énigme et l’offrande. sagesse et folie. grande sophistication et nudité (oui on y revient!).
nos quêtes sont de longs chemins sans fin. et parfois oui… que c’est beau!
à l’occasion de l’événement “un dimanche à la galerie” ce dimanche 24, Truc-Anh présentera une perfomance-récit, avec un certain… Jerry Hyde, auteur de cette expérience inédite au Népal. j’assurerai les traductions fr-en pour ne laisser personne de côté! ça commence à 16h à la galerie Sator. Venez!

As soon as i entered the gallery, the exhibition sent me back to our nepalese hill. so many things have we lived there and ever since.
these diamond shapes, stretched and suspended, between the sky and the earth, reminded me of totemic coats of arms, doors, tarot cards, or enven the pupil of a snake eye… it is the first time i discover Truc-Anh in a more symbolistic expression. oscillating between enigmas and offerings, wisdom and craziness, sophistication and nudity (yes again).
our quests are long never-ending journeys, and sometimes yeah… it is so beautiful!
at the occasion of “un dimanche à la galerie” this sunday 24th, Truc-Anh will present a perfomance-story, together with someone you know…. Jerry Hyde, who has created and organized all this initiatory trip to Nepal. i will do the translation live so that everybody can understand! it begins at 4PM at galerie Sator. Come!
Passer pour la première fois 1 semaine avec ces 2 nenettes de 13 et 14 ans, et leur père, m’impressionnait énormément. Je demandai donc à Jerry : “que dois je faire?” (moi? belle mère?… euh)
“No-thing”
il tenait à ce que tout soit naturel. à ce qu’il n’y ait pas de rôle défini, de ton à adopter, de choses à faire. rien. et j’ai adoré cette nudité simple. c’était comme une poésie. j’ai une chance vraiment extra-ordinaire de voir ma vie se peupler d’aussi belles personnes.
et cette voix… Tara, non mais franchement.

To spend for the first time 1 whole week with these two 13 and 14yo cheeks, and their father, impressed me a lot. I was asking Jerry : “what should I do?” (me? step mother?… weuw)

He wanted it to be natural. with no roles, no attitude to take, no defined way to speak, things to do. nothing. and i just enjoyed embracing this naked simplicity. i feel so lucky to have my life populated by such beautiful persons.

l’année s’achève! une 6e année, marquée par beaucoup de changements, en moi et entre nous. on a chialé, on a ri, on a réfléchi, on s’est ré-inventés, nan mais quelle année!
Quand nous étions au Népal, sur notre colline, nous avons fait une soirée “Nagarkot’s got Talent” (Nagarkot, c’est le nom de la petite colline). et Là Jerry et Sian sont arrivés, lui à la guitare et elle au chant. je les avais déjà entendus jouer ensemble. mais là les larmes me sont montées d’un coup. peut être parce que Simon and Garfunkel est mon premier souvenir musical (à l’âge de 2/3 ans), ou que Jerry me semblait tellement beau alors qu’il jouait, ou que la voix de Sian m’a semblé si pure qu!elle en etait presqu’iréelle. alors pour l’anniversaire du blog, je leur ai demandé s’ils seraient ok pour enregistrer cette chanson. Nick nous a filé un coup de main, son studio d’enregistrement, le groove de sa bass et de sa batterie. et voilà, c’est leur cadeau pour moi, pour nous. cadeau :

A year has passed! a 6th year, whithin which i have experienced so many changes, in myself and with you. we have cried, we have laughed, we have reflected, we have re-invented ourselves… what a year!
When we were in Nepal, on the hill, we had a “Nagarkot’s got Talent” night (Nagarkot, is the name of our little hill). then Jerry and Sian have arrived, him with a guitare, Sian with her voice. i have already heard them playing together but this time, tears started falling right from the start. maybe because Simon and Garfunkel is my first musical memory ever, maybe because my man was so beautiful while playing, maybe because Sian’s voice was so pure she sounded unreal. maybe all of this. so, for the birthday, i asked them if they would record it for me. then Nick came to help us, with his recording studio, the groove of his bass ad drums. and here it is :

“On te voit plus à l’écran! t’es passée où?!”
Voici 1 an que j’ai commencé à filmer et rencontrer toutes ces personnes incroyables qui m’ont tellement secouée, émerveillée, transformée. A mesure que j’ai développé ces vidéos, à mesure que je suis rentrée “en moi”, lors de ces nombreux et (très) longs posts, j’ai totalement disparu de mes propres images. Et ça m’a finalement manqué!
j’espère que ce premier bilan vous parle. que nous allons continuer à nous en servir pour nous parler, pour cheminer, pour échanger. je suis aussi émerveillée par la qualité de vos commentaires, des dialogues qui s’opèrent entre nous, mais aussi… entre vous!
sachez qu’il est rarissime que j’aie à modérer ces com (j’en ai supprimé 2 en 6 ans). et que l’écoute bienveillante qui se développe ici, y compris dans ces argumentations contradictoires, me passionne.
